What Exactly PCP Stands For ?
PCP is a patented technology that stands for Position Coded Pattern and is the prime core technology utilized in interactive applications. PCP was developed by the R&D arm of KETAB Technologies called KetabLabs responsible also for building technology partnerships and developing diverse PCP technology applications with partners like Anoto, Maxell and Logitech.
PCP is based on Anoto’s proprietary pattern which is a set of predefined dot arrangements which encode a set of (x, y) coordinates into a geometrical configuration of dot positions following a certain algorithm; when printed on paper these dots become recognizable by means of a digital camera and embedded microprocessor device having the ergonomic form factor of a pen. The digital pen decodes back the dots into their respective (x, y) yielding an absolute position on paper.
