What is an Interactive Collaboration System (ICS) ?

How does the Digital Pen Work?
The digital pen function is to read the pattern code on the PCP surface and to figure out the respective (x, y) locations on each unit cell of the surface. When the pen tip touches a PCP surface; such one found on a FlexiFree or kboard, this enables a special infrared CCD camera by means of a pressure sensor attached to the ink cartridge to start reading the pattern image on the PCP surface. The read-off pattern image then is decoded real-time by means of a processor to reveal the sets of encoded (x, y) coordinates embedded within the pattern area being read. While decoding and interpretation of absolute (x, y) coordinates is performed, these data sets are sent immediately via wireless communication to a host personal computer (PC) with kstudio installed on it for further processing.

FlexiFree

What is FlexiFree ?
As opposed to the well known Graphical User Interface (GUI), FlexiFree is a revolutionary type of computer interface devices called Physical User Interface (PUITM). PUI is the only intuitive physical interface in the world that can be assigned to any computer function. PUIs are customizable by shape, size, and can take any form factor. Being paper-based devices; FlexiFrees are pervasive and portable devices not in need for any power source which makes them the ultimate mobile computing platform.
How Does It Work ?
FlexiFrees are pen and paper computing devices based on PCP technology . To assign any particular function(s) on a FlexiFree device the user starts assigning the desired functions with the FlexiFree section of Kstudio that relates the intended function to an area on paper printed thereof later on by means of a normal printer.
Imagine any function you could think of, design it on Kstudio, print it and start using it by clicking with a digital pen on printed functions. Any thing from multiple choice questions, worksheets, questionnaires, voting templates and much more can be printed to produce a FlexiFree device that you can always depend on to automate your data entry, processing and enjoy collaborating real-time with your team, students and colleagues.

What is Kstudio ?
Kstudio seamlessly integrates Engage into the classroom environment with intuitive simple graphical interface empowering teachers and presenters with endless collaborative capabilities.

Kstudio is the soft counterpart of Engage that hosts all collaborative workflow. Kstudio works perfectly as an onboard authoring and annotating environment for presenting multimedia content, showing illustrations and making slide show presentations. kstudio also captures in real-time written notes and stores them in shareable formats, and it can work with any software that runs on the computer, including Web browsers, word processors, spreadsheets, and media players.
What is Unique about Kstudio ?
Kstudio is the only Interactive Collaboration System software with triad architecture and unified interface that combines the authoring capabilities of normal interactive whiteboards, the management of collaborative interaction between users in Engage and running the soft core of FlexiFree Engine.
